Contemporary in its design, the new Wichita Dwight D. Eisenhower National Aiport needed flooring to suit. The geometric carpet by Milliken starts everything off, followed up with beautiful glass tile by Ann Sacks on all restroom entry walls, accented with 12” x 24” Italian porcelain from Caesar. Waterjet logos in the CSNBC retail center create an ultra-clean and elegant look that compliments the airport’s overall aesthetic. Rugged LVT in the on-site restaurant, River City Brewery, provides a charming, old tavern look. The restaurant’s back of house utilizes quartz epoxy coatings and sealed concrete for ease of cleaning, durability and cost.
Contemporary in design, MKEC utilized polished an unpolished porcelain tile by Dal Tile using both 12” x 12” and 12” x 24” pattern in their lobby creating a stunning first impression. Glass mosaic tile accents on the reception desk finish the look nicely. We also employed 24” x 24” glazed porcelain tile on the restroom floors and walls. Carpet tile by Patcraft was used in all corridors and offices.
Larksfield is a premier assisted living facility and required low profile flooring products that were both durable and beautiful. We used Karndean LVT in much of the facility. Both wood and stone looks were used to create a natural-looking visual without the thickness and transition problems created by real stone and wood. We also utilized slip resistant flooring in the unit bathrooms by Mannington.
This project demanded elegant and unique flooring materials. From the hardwood by Mannington in the main lobby and hallways to the coconut tile on the restroom walls as well as the carpet by Bloomsberg Carpets and Horizon Italian Tile, all of which speaks to the uniqueness and original design of this space.
